Destiny

Always felt
like there was something
missing
in me.
Like I was

into pieces,
and
one piece
had disappeared.
Gone.
So I was
always searching
for
that lost part.
And then
there was that day
I met you.
I was sitting,
quietly,
alone,
on that sandy beach,
watching the waves
wash away
the castles before me.
Then there was
a gust of wind,
and my hair
blew into my face,
making me inhale
the raspberry scent
of the shampoo I use.
I brushed aside
the veil of fiery locks,
and there you were.
The sunset
shone on you
just so;
it seemed like
your golden hair
was a halo.
You were bathed
in the glow
of the warm sunlight.
The sight
was so heavenly,
that my heart
immediately filled
with warmth.
And I realized
that I felt whole.
Like you were the key
to the locked treasure.
And you smiled
upon me
with your ocean-blue
eyes.
We clasped hands
and knew
it was meant to be.
